In the fall of 2000 back when I was an undergrad in Richmond, VA I had to keep a "visual journal" for a design class. Basically, I created a new painting in a spiral bound journal everyday. Not all of them were that great, but the ones here I've always been happy with. In a lot of ways, this exercise influenced the way I've designed over the past 7 years. Also of note is the dating system I created, which is the series of numbered stamps in the bottom right corners, to indicate month/day.

Their sizes are approximately 6.5 x 9.5 and were made with watercolor and acrylic paint, ink, xerography, image transfers and pressed type.
